This introduction will help me assess your current level and understand your learning goals, allowing me to tailor future lessons to your specific needs.
"Como é que te chamas?" (15 minutes) - You will learn how to ask someone's name and respond with "Eu chamo-me [YOUR NAME]" (My name is...). This seemingly simple exchange opens the door to understanding one of Portuguese's most important grammatical concepts: reflexive verbs and pronoun placement.
Grammar Foundation: AR Verbs & Reflexive Conjugation (15 minutes) - Through the verb "chamar-se," we will explore the conjugation pattern of regular -AR verbs (1st conjugation) in the present tense. You will discover how reflexive pronouns work in Portuguese - a fundamental concept that differs significantly from English.
