Lessons for beginner to intermediate learners (A1–B2) that build Mandarin systematically using textbooks.
In my classes, you don’t just memorize grammar rules. I explain the cultural background and feel behind each expression—why it’s used and what nuances it carries. Understanding this “why” helps you speak more naturally and apply Mandarin flexibly.
● How lessons work
Vocabulary & grammar: Learn new words and how the grammar functions, with cultural context.
Conversation & reading: Practice with sample sentences and passages from the textbook.
Applied practice: Use the target grammar in open-ended tasks—“How would you say it?”—to extend real conversation.
● Materials
I recommend 《當代中文課程》 (A Course in Contemporary Chinese) and 《新版實用視聽華語》 (Practical Audio-Visual Chinese, New Edition), but I’m flexible and happy to use your preferred materials. Feel free to ask.
