Andrew Teacher 프로필

Hi my name is Andrew. I’m originally from Sydney Australia, but now live in the Gold Coast. I have always been interested in English and becoming a teacher has allowed me help other people to improve in this language.

I have an Arts Degree from the University of New South Wales (UNSW), and a TESOL qualification from TAFE Gold Coast.

Experience

I worked in an English Language College for 10 years in Australia before moving online. I have taught many International students. These students come from Japan, Korea, America, the Middle East, Europe and elsewhere.

I teach General English (speaking, pronunciation, grammar) and IELTS exam preparation and English for Academic Purposes (EAP).

My students range in age from mid-teenager and older. I generally teach Pre-intermediate to Advanced level students.

How I teach.

I am polite, professional, kind and friendly. I like to meet different people, discover about them and improve their English.

Everyone is different, so my teaching method is different for each student. I do like to build rapport with my students using conversation.

Interests

I have been to Japan many times, and quite a few other countries as well. In my free time I enjoy listening to music, spending time with my family and friends, watching movies, reading, exercise and working out.

アメリカドラマのマニアックなファンな私の将来の夢は字幕なしで見る事。そしてそれを誰かと熱く語る事。その半分が今叶っています。仕事終わりに話す彼とのドラマ談義は特別な時間。先生のお陰でもっともっと深く語れるようにと、英語への熱意がさらに湧いてます。 One of my dreams is to watch American TV series without subtitles and talk about them passionately with someone.　Half of that dream is already coming true. The drama talks I have with him after work are special moments for me. Thanks to him, I’m more motivated than ever to deepen my English and express myself better.

どんどん次から次へと質問してくれるので瞬発力が鍛えられます。 Cafetalkで定期的な時間が少ないのでなかなか予約を取れませんがスタンバイにはいらっしゃるので逆にいた時は、ラッキーな日になるという別の楽しみがある先生でもあります＾＾ He constantly asks questions one after another, which helps me improve my quick thinking. Since he doesn't have regular time slots on Cafetalk, making a reservation is sometimes hard, but he is often on standby. So, when he is available, it truly makes my day :D
