Hello there. My name is Amber. I'm from Cape Town, South Africa.

I love working with people who are eager to learn, grow and is passionate about learning languages. I also enjoy walks on the beach, cooking and painting from time to time.I enjoy teaching English online to learn about different cultures, traditions, values and countries in general.

I'm a TEFL-qualified teacher with a 168-hour TEFL certificate obtained from The TEFL Academy. I possess an advanced diploma in Journalism from the Cape Peninsula University of Technology. I recently completed a post-graduate certificate in intermediate phase education.

Why should you learn English with me?

Lessons are tailored for your specific needs and wants. Lessons will be aimed at your specific level, incorporating skills that are necessary, such as listening, speaking, reading and writing.

I have subject specialisation in Conversartional English, Business English, TEFL and Writing. I also provide constructive feedback and recommend out-of-class activities to help you on your English journey.

Since graduating from university, I have worked in the media and education space. My most recent role was a teacher at a local primary school in Cape Town, teaching grades 4 and 5. I have worked with many learners and have developed so much in teaching languages and natural science. Just remember: Don't be afraid to make mistakes, because that is how one learns and grows.

  • More than 24 hours before lesson start time.→ Cancellation is possible at any time.
  • Less than 24 hours before lesson start time.→ The tutor may take a cancellation fee.
  • No-Show→ The tutor may take a cancellation fee.
