Hello everyone!

My name is Angeneil, but please call me Angie. I’m from a little tropical paradise called Jamaica, but I currently live in Japan, teaching English and creating spaces where people can finally speak freely.

I’ve always been the person others come to when they need honesty, comfort, or a place to breathe. Long before I became a teacher, I was mentoring classmates, supporting peers through difficult chapters, and helping organize community events for vulnerable groups. Creating safe spaces isn’t something I learned from a textbook, it’s something I’ve lived, over and over again.

My lessons are built for people who want more than small talk. If you’re curious, a little rebellious, tired of polite conversations, or simply craving a space to express what you can’t say anywhere else, you’ll fit right in here. We talk about real life; identity, culture, relationships, society, the unspoken things, the funny things, the messy things, the things that actually shape who we are.

Formally, I have been an educator for a little over three years. I call those my "formal years" because I have been teaching since I was in elementary school. I taught many of my peers how to read and speak proper English thoughout my childhood.

I teach English through real conversation because language grows fastest when you stop performing and start being yourself. My background in Psychology and Gender Studies allows me to guide deeper discussions with clarity, care, and cultural awareness. And yes, you can bring the complicated stuff! You can bring the questions that don’t have easy answers. You can bring the parts of yourself that deserve to be heard. Because in this space, IT IS ALL ABOUT YOU! 

Whether you're here to build confidence, explore taboo topics, strengthen communication skills, or simply talk to someone who won't judge you, THIS IS THE PLACE FOR YOU!
