Hello! I’m a freelance instructor based in Suzhou, China, also my hometown.
I’m a multilingual speaker fluent in Mandarin Chinese, English, Japanese, and German.
My journey with Japanese began during university when I fell in love with Lolita fashion. Drawn by the world of “kawaii,” I moved to Japan in 2015 and started learning from the very basics of Hiragana, eventually passing the JLPT N2 in just one year.
Later, in pursuit of my dream to “work while traveling the world,” I became a flight attendant at Lufthansa and lived in Munich, Germany from 2018 to 2021.

Afterward, I earned an MSc in Project Management from the University of Liverpool and returned to China.
Now, I work as a freelancer across three main fields:
My teaching focuses on natural, real-life expressions rather than textbook phrases.
Travel Chinese / Daily conversation / Business communication
Fully free-talk based — each class tailored to your interests
Vocabulary notes & review materials available upon request
? I run a YouTube channel called Maomika in China (Comprehensible Input-style Chinese podcasts)

? I also post daily Chinese phrases on TikTok:

I currently also work with a Chinese consulting firm, supporting international clients (mainly from Europe).
If you're based in Japan and are interested in the Chinese market or its business environment, feel free to reach out.
I provide insights from a China–Japan–Europe perspective, offering grounded advice informed by on-the-ground experience.
I have real-life experience in the recruitment processes of several international airlines:
✈ Lufthansa (Hired)
✈ Qatar Airways (Final round experience)
✈ Cathay Pacific / HK Express (Received offers)
I provide realistic interview preparation in English, including:
Self-introduction building
Common Q&A strategies
Mock interviews & performance feedback
Posture, expression, and presentation skills
? Please note: My coaching is only for international airlines (not ANA, JAL, etc.)
I’ve traveled to over 30 countries so far. In 2019, I completed the Camino de Santiago (French Way) pilgrimage across Spain, and in August that same year, I climbed Mt. Fuji for the first time.

Next year, my goal is to walk the Kumano Kodo trail in Japan ⛰️
Culturally, I live a “border-crossing lifestyle” — built on language learning, movement, and cross-cultural exchange.
Every project I do now feels like part of an ongoing fieldwork for a future PhD — even if I haven't defined the exact theme yet. Through language, travel, and work, I strive to build bridges between people and cultures.
?️ Would you like to join me on this journey?
