여러분, 안녕하세요. Nice to meet you! My name is YENA, a Korean teacher. I am very happy to meet everyone at Cafe Talk.
I was born in Korea and I was educated in Korea up to university. I majored in classical music vocal music at university, and after graduating I taught vocal music and piano from children to adults.
After that, I decided to live in Japan, and more than 20 years have passed since I came to Japan, but when I started studying Japanese, I was afraid of making a mistake and couldn't quite talk to Japanese people. However, the number of Japanese friends and acquaintances gradually increased, and they understood and accepted my Japanese, which was full of mistakes. Thanks to that, I was able to speak positively in Japanese, and I was able to realize myself who regained the fun and confidence of learning a language.
After that, I taught Japanese to Koreans for about a year by introducing Japanese friends and acquaintances, but again aiming to be a vocalist, I went to Kyoto City University of Arts in Japan, Graduate School of Music, Master's course in vocal music major. After graduating, I did music activities in Korea and Japan while teaching vocal music, but I could not continue music work because I had a child and felt the difficulty of coordinating child-raising and music activities. Now that my children are getting bigger and I have my own time little by little, I have been teaching Korean to children for over a year now. While teaching Korean, I realized that many Japanese people are struggling with pronunciation that is not found in Japanese, especially "Batchum". When I learned Japanese for the first time, I didn't understand the difference between "Za-ze-Zo" and "Ja-Je-Jyo", which is not found in Korean, but now I know the difference between them. You can also pronounce it perfectly. (^-^)
I think it's quite difficult to be able to make pronunciations that are not in your mother language from the beginning. In my case, I majored in classical vocal music, so I often sang songs of Western music, so I trained a lot to get the correct pronunciation. I was able to naturally learn the correct position of the tongue and how to use the throat. Utilizing this skill, we will help you to learn together with not only the lessons to acquire the four Korean skills of "speaking, listening, reading, writing", but also native Korean so that you can speak Korean with a cleaner pronunciation. Special training for pronunciation and intonation is available ♬
