Hi I am Ethan Smith, and I’m a Senior English Instructor specializing in Young Learners, Business English and IELTS preparation.
I work with students aged 4 to 18, guiding them through a structured, long-term English learning path — from building strong foundational skills in early childhood to confident academic English and IELTS readiness in their teenage years.
For younger learners, my focus is on phonics, listening, and speaking, helping children develop natural pronunciation, confidence, and a genuine interest in English. As students grow, we strengthen reading comprehension, academic vocabulary, sentence structure, and critical thinking, ensuring there are no gaps in their language development.
For older students, especially those preparing for international schools, overseas study, or IELTS, I emphasize academic vocabulary, reading logic, and exam-aligned listening, speaking, and writing skills. I strongly believe that IELTS is not a “cram exam,” but a natural outcome of long-term English skill development, and my teaching approach reflects that philosophy.
My classes are skill-based, not memorization-based, designed to help students think in English and progress steadily, without unnecessary pressure. This makes my program especially suitable for international and bilingual school students who need consistent, high-quality English development over time.
