Hi there! Marhaba and Assalam Alaikum! مرحبا، السلام عليكم
I’m Mounir, originally from Morocco where I was born and raised. Arabic is my mother tongue, and I’m fluent in several dialects including Moroccan Darija, Algerian, Tunisian, and Egyptian Arabic. Traveling has always been one of my passions — I’ve lived in Morocco, Qatar, South Korea, and the Philippines — and through these experiences I’ve learned just how powerful and valuable languages are when it comes to connecting with others, whether for travel, work, or friendship.
I would be delighted to help you learn Modern Standard Arabic (Fus-ha), Moroccan Darija, or any other dialect you’re interested in. My goal is to help you build the confidence to express yourself naturally and independently in any setting — at work, while traveling, or with Arabic-speaking friends and family.
About Me as a Teacher
I hold a Bachelor’s degree in English Studies (Literature and Linguistics) and completed a course in Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL). I’m also a C2-certified English speaker. My academic background and professional experience have shown me that learning languages truly opens doors — both personally and professionally — and I’ve experienced that firsthand throughout my travels and work abroad.
Over the years, I’ve worked in several roles: as a cultural facilitator for foreign visitors in Morocco, a part-time tour guide, and most notably, as an English teacher. Teaching children and adults from diverse backgrounds has been one of the most fulfilling parts of my career. I’ve also taught Arabic online to students from all around the world — including Japan, Hong Kong, Australia, the Philippines, the UK, the US, Portugal, France, Belgium, and Argentina, among others. Currently, I also work as an independent translator for Arabic and English.
My lessons are tailored to your level and your goals — whether you’re a beginner or an advanced learner, whether you want to improve speaking, listening, writing, or comprehension skills. I’ve taught students from ages 6 to 70+, and I always adapt my teaching style to suit each learner’s needs and preferences.
I fully understand the challenges that come with learning a new language, but you don’t have to face them alone. With my background in teaching, translation, and deep knowledge of Arabic culture, I’ll guide and support you every step of the way to make your learning experience enjoyable and rewarding.
If you’re ready to start your Arabic language journey, I’d be happy to meet you in a trial lesson so we can begin together!
