Hello! I'm Ruby, a Korean instructor who loves sharing the joy of the Korean language and culture :)

I believe that speaking Korean more directly is more important than just listening in class. Therefore, rather than simply explaining grammar, we will provide ample speaking opportunities for students to create sentences using the vocabulary and grammar they have learned and express their thoughts and experiences in Korean. I will create a comfortable atmosphere where you can speak without worrying about mistakes, listen carefully to your sentences, and correct them using natural Korean expressions.

I use a systematically designed textbook that I created myself for the class. After assessing the student's Korean proficiency, learning goals, areas of interest, and difficulties, I aim to provide personalized lessons by incorporating content and example sentences tailored to the individual in the materials. I will actively incorporate the interests of students, such as Korean dramas, K-POP, traveling to Korea, food, cosmetics, and daily life.

I was also a student who experienced school life, a working professional, went through dating and marriage, and I live in Busan. Building on these experiences, I can also teach on a variety of topics such as school life, work life, dating and marriage, the Busan dialect, Busan’s travel destinations and restaurants, and Korean proverbs. If there’s a topic you’d like to learn or class materials you want, please feel free to let me know anytime. We will create classes tailored to your interests and goals.

Before the class, we will send a Korean counseling form via Google URL to all registered students.

This is to provide customized lessons based on the students’ Korean proficiency and interests.

I respect each student's goals and learning pace, and I will create enjoyable and meaningful lessons that leave students feeling, "I talked a lot in Korean today."
