It's 100% OK to make mistakes
Learn Korean by speaking, with a native tutor in Osaka

Can't find the words? No rush. We'll go at your pace.

Hello, I'm AB, a Korean language tutor.

You study words and grammar, but when it's time to speak, nothing comes out. Sound familiar?

I spent 15 years working at a company in Japan, so I know firsthand how hard it is to work and live in a foreign language. I understand that stuck feeling well.

When I first started working at a Japanese company, I spent my days nodding along in meetings, pretending to understand — then frantically looking everything up afterwards.

Even now, when I hear really difficult honorific Japanese, my brain still freezes for a second.

That's why my lessons focus on speaking time rather than studying. Your favorite dramas and K-POP, travel, your weekend — as you talk about what you love in Korean, you'll naturally pick up the real expressions that textbooks don't teach.

Korean's 괜찮아요 (gwaenchanayo) is just as hardworking: one little word that can mean "I'm fine," "No, thank you," and "Don't worry about it," depending on the moment.

About me

・Native Korean tutor living in Osaka, Japan
・15 years working at a Japanese company; happy to support you in English
・Taught small-group Korean classes in Tokyo for a year and a half
・Also active as an online Korean tutor

Things I value in my lessons

1. A place where mistakes are welcome
There's nothing to be embarrassed about here. Making mistakes is the fastest way to start speaking. Every mistake is a step forward — in fact, the more you make, the faster you improve.

2. No rushing
The moments when you can't find a word are valuable practice, too. I'll wait, patiently. If a word just won't come, say it in English and we'll build the Korean together.

3. Feedback that stays with you
After the lesson, I'll send you the expressions that came up and more natural ways to say what you said, so you can review anytime. (For 25-minute lessons, I'll send brief feedback by chat.)

These lessons are for you if

・You're just starting Korean and don't know where to begin
・You've been studying, but have no chance to speak and feel stuck
・You want to enjoy talking about dramas and K-POP in Korean
・You want to understand your favorite artist's words without subtitles
・You want to speak for yourself on a trip to Korea
・Speaking with a native tutor makes you nervous (I can explain things in English)

How to choose a lesson

・Start with the free 20-minute trial, for a level check and a personal study plan
・For relaxed conversation, try the 25-minute free talk
・To speak plenty and review afterwards, the 50-minute free talk + feedback
・To learn through drama lines, the drama lesson
・Before a trip to Korea, the 25-minute survival Korean lesson

Korean comes to those who keep going. And the secret to keeping going is enjoying it.

Don't carry that stuck feeling alone. Let's laugh and fix it together. Start with a free trial — a relaxed chat is a great first step. I look forward to meeting you.
