Hello, my name is Crystal. I was born in Beijing, China and grew up in the United States. I am a native English speaker. I am also fluent in spoken conversational Mandarin Chinese and beginner Japanese. I graduated with a bachelor’s degree from Binghamton University, one of the top state universities in New York. I have a 140-hour Teaching English as a Foreign Language Certification and I am JLPT N2 certified. As a tutor with 4 years of experience, I have worked with students of different skill levels, ages, and backgrounds. 

In my lessons, students can expect interactive learning with images, real-life examples, games, and props. Some learning exercises I like to use are fill in the blank, repeat after me, and labeling images. I always try to keep lessons interesting and promote student engagement and participation. To ensure students receive the instruction that they need, I adapt my teaching approaches to fit each student’s unique needs and learning style.
