Hello, Future English Speakers!

Kia Ora! My name is Sweanie, and I'm so excited to be your English tutor. I have a real passion for teaching English, especially helping students build their confidence in speaking. I'm new to online tutoring here, but I'm definitely not new to teaching English! I used to teach English one-on-one to Korean students, and I absolutely loved it.

I've called New Zealand home for nearly 10 years now. Before that, I was a nurse in the Philippines, and currently, I'm an Assistant Early Childhood Teacher. While I adore working with children, I also love helping people like you improve their English skills.

My main goal is to get you speaking English confidently. We'll focus on conversational English, and don't worry too much about perfect grammar! I truly believe that the more you speak, the more confident and fluent you'll become.

A little bit about me outside of teaching: I'm a simple person who enjoys reading, watching K-dramas, and a bit of anime. My husband and I loves travelling as well. As a Christian, I believe in growing every day. I'm not perfect, as no human is, but I'm sincerely trying my best to follow Jesus Christ in my daily life.I'm an introvert at heart, but I can be quite socially active too! LOL.
