My name is Glen & I am an English Teacher ?~ Performer ? ~ Artist ? from USA ..Glad to meet you!
I have been teaching English for Speaking ~ Business Communication ~ Exam Preparation for the last 17+ years in USA EUROPE & ASIA.
My First Teaching Position:
As a senior graduate student I was given the awesome task of teaching the Undergraduate classes at San Jose State University in the famous Silicon Valley in California.. { so I am very familiar with that culture & my department was very much integrated with the famous communication companies : Apple/Google/IBM/Facebook/Cisco..etc..}
My Remarkable Class:
My Class was very unique in the fact that I had been given the unique opportunity to teach a diverse body of Undergrads from many foreign countries: Korea, Japan, Mexico, Malaysia, China... So fantastic interactive environment to experience varied perspectives on the World!
I believe it made me a better Teacher by showing me the problems which students from other cultures can experience when learning English & the tools I needed to provide.. & It created a great desire to visit & live in those Cultures..and so I have been teaching and living in Asia for many years..and I still have much to learn from my wonderful Students!
AFTER doing my basic Liberal Arts & Humanities training at COLUMBIA UNIVERSITY in NYC, I trained as a Professional Actor & Film Director at the Prestigious NEW YORK UNIVERSITY SCHOOL OF THE ARTS & performed in many Theatre ? Productions in NYC .. studied DIGITAL ARTS & ANIMATION at the SAVANNAH COLLEGE OF ART & DESIGN doing my MASTERS DEGREE.. finally taking my MASTERS OF FINE ART at the SCHOOL OF ARTS, SAN JOSE STATE UNIVERSITYin CALIFORNIA.
IN 2005, I left my home in Oakland/San Francisco to live in Europe & then travelled throughout ASIA & lived and worked as an ENGLISH TEACHER 2+ YEARS in SEOUL SOUTH KOREA & 5.5 YEARS AS ENGLISH TEACHER in BEIJING, SHANGHAI & HONG KONG while I performed in BEIJING THEATRE productions & taught PERFORMANCE TECHNIQUE to my own Group of Asian + Expat actors for film ?️ production in Beijing. While teaching my ENGLISH classes I performed in many movies, TV series & commercials with many well known Asian actors, in Beijing & other cities of China.
I invite all Students to an exciting Cross-Cultural exchange using ENGLISH LANGUAGE.. THEATER+ FILM PERFORMANCE.. & DRAWING & PAINTING..
I hope we can Join Together on this Wonderful journey and move closer to achieving our Life Goals!
