Hello! My name is Etsuko, and I live in Puebla, Mexico, known as the “City of Angels” (^^).
I teach Japanese and Chinese.
【About my lessons】
When I was a student, studying was not something I was good at, and I didn’t really have the habit of studying either.
There were times when things didn’t go the way I hoped, and I sometimes felt a sense of inferiority.
That is exactly why, in my classes, I always put my students first and try to create an environment where they will not have to experience those same feelings.
In a previous private lesson, I helped a student who started from learning hiragana reach a level equivalent to passing the JLPT N5 in just six months.
If you ever feel stuck while studying, let’s think it through together.
Let’s develop your ability to express the things you love and naturally expand your vocabulary and ways of expression.
I always value a student-first approach and strive to support each learner with care.
I also have experience teaching in-person group lessons with up to about 20 students.
One thing that is very important to me is learning everyone’s name and face on the very first day.
I believe that truly seeing each individual student is the first step toward a good class.
When I was teaching Japanese in Taiwan, one of my students was inspired by my class and later went on to study at a university in Hokkaido.
It has been about 12 years since I left Taiwan, but whenever I visit, I still meet up with my former students.
The connections with people that continue through language are a great treasure for me.
I love learning new things, encountering new ideas and opinions, and having new experiences.
That is why in my classes I value not only knowledge, but also human connection and personal growth.
【Learning a language means expanding your world】
In a place where you can feel safe to challenge yourself, let’s move forward step by step together.
