Learning Idioms is FUN!
課程介紹
As a native English speaker, I use idioms in everyday conversation! Idioms are a fun way to express ideas and to get a message across to another person, but, idioms can also be alittle tricky to understand.
Introducing idioms via an online game can be a great way to explain how idioms are used in conversation and is very interactive for the student.
My favourite idioms:
The sky is the limit means 'to go very far in life' For example: ' She's so talented, the sky is the limit'.
Once in a blue moon means 'very rarely' For example: 'I like eating fast food, but I only have it once in a blue moon'.
Break the Ice means 'to do something or to say something to relieve shyness or to make people feel more comfortable'. For example: The speaker told a joke at the beginning of his speech to break the ice. Everyone laughed and the atmosphere was suddenly more relaxed.
Idioms are fun to learn! When you hear them for the first time, it is normal to be confused, but once you have learnt them, you will be using them everyday!
