Unlock the Mystery of Alcatraz: A Two-Part Deep Dive into Inseparable by David Kruh

What happened to the three inmates who, in 1962, escaped from Alcatraz on a makeshift raft? Inseparable is a historical novel that reimagines this real-life escape, blending fact with fiction to tell the story of two escapees, the Anglin brothers, and the unexpected ally who helps them.

In the novel, a thirteen-year-old boy, living with his mother—a Korean War widow—discovers the fugitives barely alive on a tiny beach south of Sausalito. As he helps them evade the police, FBI, Coast Guard, and an obsessed reporter, he finds himself caught in an unforgettable adventure.

This two-part lesson pack will take you on an exciting journey through the novel’s themes, characters, and historical background.

Lesson 1: Book Club Discussion

Cancellation of pack lessons

Cancelling individual requests in a pack

• If you wish to cancel a single lesson that belongs to a pack but not the whole pack, you can do so via the request page. In this case, the coupon used to book the lesson will either be refunded or collected, based on the tutors single-lesson cancellation policy. Please note that any 50% partial refunds in the tutors single-lesson cancellation policy do not apply to lesson packs and the tutor may choose to either refund or collect the coupon in those cases.
