This is where English becomes something we can really dig into.

Bring a novel or book, news or feature article, podcast, video, journal entry, email, presentation, or another piece of authentic English. We’ll use it as the foundation for a 55-minute workshop built around understanding, discussing, and using English more effectively.

Rather than simply correcting mistakes, we can explore ideas, vocabulary, tone, structure, pronunciation, and natural expression—and then put what you learn into practice.

You can bring the material, or I can choose something appropriate for your goals and interests.

How the Workshop Works

We begin by identifying what you want to accomplish with the material.

Then we dig in.

We might discuss the ideas in an article, explore a chapter from a book, unpack a podcast or video, examine why an expression sounds natural, or work together to improve something you’ve written.

I’ll ask questions, help you develop your ideas, explain language when useful, and coach the English that emerges naturally from our work.

When appropriate, we’ll pause to practice a particular weakness—perhaps pronunciation, linking language, tone, vocabulary, or sentence structure—and then put the improvement back into use.

The goal isn’t simply to understand English.

It’s to do something with it.

Lesson Scope

This workshop is designed for learners who want to work deeply with real English content or their own writing.

It is not designed for ongoing exam preparation (EIKEN, TOEFL, TOEIC), intensive business coaching, or extensive interview preparation. For those goals, please see my dedicated classes.

What to Prepare

If you would like to bring your own material, please send it at least 24 hours before the lesson when possible.

A good amount is:

• A short excerpt or article section (about 5 minutes of reading)

• A 3–6 minute podcast or video clip

• A journal entry, paragraph, email, or short piece of writing

Or simply tell me what interests you, and I can provide the material.

55分ワークショップの進め方

まず、その教材を使って何を達成したいのかを確認します。

そして、じっくり掘り下げていきます。

記事の内容について話し合ったり、本の一部を読み込んだり、ポッドキャストや動画を詳しく見たり、ある表現がなぜ自然に聞こえるのかを考えたり、ご自身で書いた文章を一緒に改善したりします。

私は質問をしながら考えを深めるお手伝いをし、必要に応じて英語表現を説明し、レッスンの中で自然に出てきた英語をその場でコーチングします。

必要であれば、発音、つなぎ表現、トーン、語彙、文の構成など、特定のポイントを短時間で集中して練習し、その後もう一度実際に使ってみます。

目標は、英語を理解するだけではありません。

学んだ英語を実際に使えるようにすることです。

このワークショップは、実際の英語コンテンツやご自身の文章を使って、じっくり学びたい方のためのレッスンです。

英検・TOEFL・TOEICなどの継続的な試験対策、本格的なビジネス英語コーチング、集中的な面接対策には、専用クラスをご利用ください。

ご準備いただくもの

ご自身の教材を使用したい場合は、可能であればレッスンの24時間前までにお送りください。

目安として：

・5分程度で読める短い抜粋や記事

・3～6分程度のポッドキャストや動画

・ジャーナル、段落、メールなどの短い文章

もちろん、興味のあるテーマを教えていただければ、こちらで教材を用意することもできます。
