"Huh?! What Does That Mean?"

Have you ever heard someone say something and wondered what it actually means? Perhaps you know what the words mean, but still, something does not make sense...

These are called 'Idioms' and they are a form of expression in the English Language.

Expressions are usually context-based, meaning specific "sayings" or "expresssions" are used in specific situations.

After lesson confirmation, students will be asked to pick one situation and we will dive into the expressions used in that situation.

Expressions related to 'New Year'
Level:  B2/C1 students

Duration:  +/-25 minutes

This lesson focuses on New Year’s idioms. Students analyze idioms related to New Year’s resolutions in context, match them to their definitions, and create brief dialogues to reinforce usage.



Expressions related to 'Luck'
Level:  B1/B2/C1 students

Duration:  +/-25 minutes


This lesson on idioms related to luck is suitable for St. Patrick’s Day or use throughout the year. Students explore luck-related idioms in context, match them to their definitions, and create brief dialogues to reinforce their understanding.
