📚 Welcome to Level 4 of my Step-by-Step English Core Course!
This level is aimed at upper beginners (ages 9–13) at CEFR A1+ level. We focus on strengthening reading and writing skills while building confidence with past simple tense, comparatives, and modal verbs. Each lesson includes stories, grammar tasks, and creative writing that prepare students for Cambridge YLE Movers exams and real-world language use.

Every 25–30 minute lesson includes:
✅ Grammar focus (past simple, comparatives, modals)
✅ Writing tasks and sentence building
✅ Reading comprehension and storytelling
✅ Flashcards, games, and printable workbook

✨ Units Included:

  • Unit 1: Daily Life – Past simple (regular verbs), diary writing

  • Unit 2: Reminiscing – Irregular verbs, childhood stories

  • Unit 3: Travel – More irregular past tense, postcard writing

  • Unit 4: Competitions – Comparatives & superlatives, news articles

  • Unit 5: Famous Athletes – Biography writing and sports descriptions

  • Unit 6: Dressing Up – Clothes, irregular verbs, and creative writing

  • Unit 7: Healthy Living – Health-related vocabulary, doctor visit language

  • Unit 8: Family at Home – Family vocabulary, letter writing

  • Unit 9: Adventures in Nature – Nature verbs, storytelling, and reading

  • Unit 10: Out and About – Functional English for public spaces

🧠 Stories & Seasonal Themes:
Each unit includes a classic fable or story (e.g., The Hare and the Tortoise, The Prince’s New Clothes, The Ugly Duckling) and some have bonus seasonal or cultural content for added variety.

Cancellation of pack lessons

• 'Unstarted' lesson packs(1) can be cancelled any time. Used Points will be completely refunded. If a 'started' lesson pack(2) is cancelled, you will be refunded 50% of the price of the remaining lessons provided that the lessons are unrequested, unconfirmed or not within 24 hours of their scheduled start times.
(1) A lesson pack for which none of the requests have been confirmed by the tutor.
(2) A lesson pack with at least one confirmed request. (By confirming the date and time for the first lesson in the pack the tutor confirms the pack as a whole and coupons are automatically issued)

Cancelling individual requests in a pack

• If you wish to cancel a single lesson that belongs to a pack but not the whole pack, you can do so via the request page. In this case, the coupon used to book the lesson will either be refunded or collected, based on the tutors single-lesson cancellation policy. Please note that any 50% partial refunds in the tutors single-lesson cancellation policy do not apply to lesson packs and the tutor may choose to either refund or collect the coupon in those cases.
