Are you a student looking to better understand complex academic papers written in English?
In this lesson, we will learn to improve reading comprehension of difficult material. As a science student, I've read a good amount of science papers, and they are difficult even for an English native speaker! I can help you better understand complex academic language in order to succeed in the international academic world.
We can read a paper together of your choice (or, alternatively, I can provide an interesting science paper) and learn how to break down tricky words and sentence structure. The goal is to improve your comprehension skills to be able to read similar papers on your own.
This lesson is ideal for advanced students who are comfortable reading everyday words in English, as well as simple articles like in newspapers. We will be working on tricky papers, so having some comprehension already is essential.
