Introduction: What Are Verbs?

  • Explain:

    • Verbs are action words! They tell us what someone or something is doing.
    • Example: Jump, run, eat, sleep, play.
    • Tip: Use actions as you say each verb to make it fun and interactive.

  • Ask:

    • What are some actions you do every day? Let’s name them.

Activity 1: Verb Song

      • Sing to the tune of “If You’re Happy and You Know It”:

        “If you’re jumping and you know it, say jump (jump, jump)!
        If you’re running and you know it, say run (run, run)!”

        • Repeat with other actions like clap, swim, sleep, etc.
