This course integrates speaking, listening, & reading exercises to maximize learning.
Description
This is an integrative course combining listening activities with reading tasks and authentic English materials in the form of CNN video reports.
Target Levels: Intermediate to Advanced Levels of Proficiency
Target Skills: Listening, Reading, Speaking, Vocabulary-building
Goals: *to enhance English comprehension *to summarize video reports *to learn and (subsequently correctly use) new words in context *to express one's opinions on the given (hot) topics
Approach: Textbook-based, with modified presentations, in discussion format
