In just one 50-minute lesson, you’ll learn to beautifully write your name or favorite words in kanji!

・I can speak a little English, but I’m not fluent. I may use translation tools, so please understand communication might not be perfect. However, since I will demonstrate everything clearly in front of you, you’ll surely understand how to write beautifully.
・If you’d like to write your name, please tell me the correct spelling when you make your reservation.
・Please prepare the following tools. If you’re not particular about the quality, you can buy most of them at a 100 yen shop (or similar stores):
Have you ever seen kanji on signs or in town and thought, “That looks amazing—I want to try writing it someday”?
If so, but you feel unsure how to start, don’t worry!
This lesson is designed to help beginners feel confident and improve quickly—even in just one session.

・硯(suzuri) Inkstone
・半紙(hanshi) Calligraphy paper
・墨汁(bokuju) Sumi ink
・下敷き(shitajiki) Underlay mat
・文鎮(bunchin) Paperweights
・Newspaper (to place under your work)
