In this interactive phonics lesson, children will explore the letter Aa and its sound /a/ as in “apple” and “ant.” The lesson is designed to be fun, engaging, and hands-on, helping young learners build confidence with early English sounds.
I use a playful, interactive, and child-centered approach, incorporating
•Sound Play: Repetition, gestures, and vocal practice to reinforce the /a/ sound
•Picture Match: Connecting familiar objects like “apple,” “ant,” and “airplane” to the letter A
•Interactive Collage: Using the Cafetalk whiteboard or real objects from home to make a “virtual collage” of A words
•Fun Games: Spotting objects around the child that start with A to strengthen learning through observation and play
I emphasize active participation, encouragement, and positive reinforcement. Lessons are short and designed to maintain attention while fostering a love of learning English.
