Lesson Breakdown
1. Warm-Up
Objective: Get students talking about their interests.
Activity: Small talk / picture prompt

2. Vocabulary Introduction
Objective: Teach 8–10 common hobby words.
Materials: Flashcards or screen images.

3. Listening / Reading Practice
Objective: Recognize hobby vocabulary in context.
Example short text:
“Hi, my name is Sam. I like playing football and watching TV. On weekends, I cook with my family.”
Comprehension questions:

Alternative activity: Read sentences aloud and ask the student to guess the hobby.

4. Speaking Practice
Objective: Use hobby vocabulary in short sentences.

Objective: Review vocabulary and reinforce key phrases.
Quick quiz or game:
