Do your children want to learn English in a fun and interactive way? In this lesson, we will explore basic shapes and colors while practicing reading, listening, speaking, and grammar.

Topics Covered:

  • Basic shapes: circle, square, triangle, rectangle, star, oval

  • Basic colors: red, blue, yellow, green, orange, purple, pink, black, white

  • Forming simple sentences: “This is a red circle.” / “I like the blue square.”

  • Listening and following commands: “Touch the green triangle.”

  • Conversation practice about favorite shapes and colors

After the Lesson:

  • Students receive personalized feedback on pronunciation, sentence formation, and participation.

  • Optional homework: draw shapes in different colors and write simple sentences about them.

  • Students can repeat the lesson to reinforce learning.

Teaching Materials:

  • Flashcards of shapes and colors

  • Story slides or worksheets with images of shapes in various colors

  • Students respond in full sentences: “My favorite color is blue.”

2. Grammar & Speaking Focus 

  • Topic: Simple sentences using “This is…” / “I like…”

  • Activity: Show flashcards of shapes in different colors; students make sentences aloud

  • Tools: Flashcards, whiteboard, screen share

3. Reading Practice (5 minutes)

  • Activity: Read a short 3–5 sentence text aloud and have students repeat

  • Example sentences:

    • “I see a yellow triangle.”

    • “The circle is green.”

    • “I like the purple star.”

  • Match sentences to images of shapes and colors

4. Listening Practice

  • Activity: “Simon Says” style TPR game

    • Teacher: “Touch the red circle.” / “Point to the green triangle.”
