Description

Phonics Course Overview

In this course, children will build a strong foundation for reading by learning the alphabet and its sounds in a structured and engaging way. We will begin with the most important sounds to learn — SATPIN — which provide the best starting point for early reading.

The course will cover:

  • Alphabet letter names and sounds

  • Vowels and consonants

  • CVC words (consonant-vowel-consonant)

  • Segmenting (saying each sound) and blending (putting sounds together to read a word)

Class Activities:

  • Singing the alphabet song to reinforce letter order and recognition

  • Practicing letter writing to strengthen recognition and recall

  • Learning letter sounds with actions to aid memory

  • Expanding vocabulary with each set of letters introduced

  • Practicing CVC words through segmenting and blending

By the end of the course, children will be able to confidently identify letter names and sounds, read simple CVC words, and take the first exciting steps toward becoming independent readers.
