Parole e Caffè: Forza — The Little Word of Encouragement

Caffe Con Marina

Ciao! Welcome back to "Parole e Caffè". I'm Marina, an Italian teacher with 15 years of experience. Today, we're learning a word that you will hear everywhere in Italy.

No pressure. No complicated grammar. Just a little Italian magic for your day.

Let's begin.

The word of the day is: FORZA

You probably know forza as a noun: "strength" or "power".

But in Italy, we also use it as a gentle expression of encouragement. When someone is working hard, or when a friend is about to try something new, we say: "Forza!" It means "Come on!", "You can do it!", "Go for it!".

A little Italian for you:

"Forza, ce la puoi fare!" (Come on, you can do it!)

The "Caffè" connection:

Learning a language takes time and energy. Some days are easy, some days are a little harder.

On those days, remember this word.

Forza.

Not as a command, but as a gentle reminder. You don't need to rush. You just need to keep walking, at your own pace.

See you next Tuesday:
Another word, another coffee. Until then, enjoy your coffee!

A presto,
Marina - Caffè con Marina
