Do job interviews make you nervous? I’ve been there too (and here is how to beat it)
Have you ever felt like your nerves are getting the best of you right before a job interview? Let me tell you something: it is completely normal.
I still remember my very first job interview. It was such a strange experience! I was incredibly nervous, my hands were sweating, and my mind kept racing: What are they going to ask me? What am I supposed to say? Will my answers even be good enough? In the end, I felt like I was walking in completely blind.
At that moment, I realized something key: it’s not that we aren’t capable; it’s simply that nobody teaches us how to be interviewed. How different it would have been if I had someone to practice with beforehand—someone to tell me what to expect and how to structure my thoughts without losing myself.
Nowadays, the job market moves fast. Cities like Mexico and Lima are full of mid-level management and administrative opportunities, but hiring processes with headhunters can be a bit intimidating if you aren’t familiar with the regional dynamics.
That’s why I want to offer you a safe space. My goal isn't to interrogate you, but for us to practice together as a team. We can simulate a real interview tailored to mid-level management, look at those tricky questions that usually catch people off guard, and turn them into answers that showcase your true experience. There will be new questions and some familiar ones, but the important thing is that you'll lose the fear of making mistakes.
If you are currently job hunting, or if you are learning Spanish and want to overcome the fear of speaking in a professional setting, I would love to guide you through it. I created a class called “LATAM Job Interview”designed specifically for this: to prepare, shake off those nerves, and honestly, have a great time while learning and the best, you´ll be able to practice you spanish!
I’d love to have a virtual coffee with you and start practicing! See you soon.
