[LOL] "Oh no, I'm never getting home..." What My Gamer Student Showed Me After Class Left Me Speechless!? [Part 14]

Megu3

Hello everyone, long time no see! ...Yep, I was totally slacking off www

To everyone who reads my column, I am so, so sorry! No excuses here—it was pure laziness www

Alright! Enough apologizing www

As promised last time, today I want to introduce one of the most "unique" students I've ever met!

Let me call him A-kun, the hardcore gamer.

This guy was truly a gamer down to his very bones. He would often mix gaming jargon into our Japanese conversations, which up to that point was still pretty normal (?).

However... one day, a harmless remark from me turned everything upside down.

Me: "You really love video games, don't you, A-kun? To be honest, I've never really gotten the appeal (haha)."

Then, right after class ended that day...

A-kun: "Teacher, do you have a minute...?" Meg: "Sure, I have a little time!"

The very next second, A-kun dropped a bombshell on me.

A-kun: "I am going to present the appeal of video games to you now."

I thought to myself, (Wait, a presentation...? I guess he'll just briefly explain why he likes them verbally?)... But I was naive. SO naive.

He actually brought out a 【PowerPoint presentation】.

And from a quick glance... it was EASILY over 50 slides long www

At that moment, only one thought echoed inside my head:

"Oh crap... I'm never going home today... (despair)"

And so, A-kun's passionate presentation on gaming began in the empty classroom after hours.

...So, how on earth did I handle this situation!? (haha)

Find out what happens next in the next column!

☕️ A Little Note from Meg "Owning up to slacking off so casually cracked me up www" "50 slides of PPT is WAY too much love (haha)!" I'd love to read your thoughts in the comments! In my lessons, talking about what you love is always welcome (though please keep presentations under 5 minutes haha)!
