Many imagine a crystal ball and an old witch with cards warning you of danger or perhaps describing your future spouse. This is all part of the mythmaking of the world of tarot and sprituality. But for me, this is not the true tarot.

Reading tarot cards for someone is not about telling the future. It is a gateway to talking about one's current situation. The cards can offer advice of what course of actions to take -but they do not forcast the future. That depends on what happens now in the present. Will you heed the advice and actually take action? If not, the messages from the cards are meaningless. They only speak of the NOW.

Use tarot card readings as a way of consultation. A guide and an advisor. But, ultimately -you must be the one to take action in order to create your future.
