I've always been interested in what's happening in the world, and keeping up with the news. It's becoming ever more difficult these days to predict what might happen next, and what the impact will be. One of the great things about Cafetalk is that it provides the oportunity to share perspectives and open our minds to the views of people all around the world. And I get enormous reassurance from speaking to people who are also interested in the world around them. I recently listened to the speech delivered by Canadia Prime Minister Mark Carney at Davos, and if you have not yet listened to it I'm sharing the link here:

He sums up the state of the world, and the challenges confronting us so well. He tells it as it is, and that's something I like. The media so often tries to shape the narrative, and not in a good way!
