Two Heartwarming Dog Movies on Netflix: Togo and The Art of Racing in the Rain

StephanieRiann

Recently, I watched two wonderful movies on Netflix: Togo and The Art of Racing in the Rain. Both movies are about dogs, but more importantly, they are about the deep connection between dogs and humans. These stories are emotional, inspiring, and meaningful.

 Togo (2019)

Togo is based on a true story. It takes place in Alaska in the 1920s. A man named Leonhard Seppala trains sled dogs to help deliver medicine during a dangerous diphtheria outbreak. The journey is extremely long and takes place in freezing temperatures and terrible storms.

Togo, the lead dog, is small and underestimated, but he proves to be incredibly strong, brave, and loyal. This movie shows how trust, perseverance, and teamwork can overcome impossible situations. It also shows how a human and a dog can form a powerful bond through shared struggle.

The Art of Racing in the Rain (2019)

This movie is told from the point of view of a dog named Enzo. Enzo belongs to a race car driver named Denny. Through Enzo’s eyes, we see Denny’s life, including love, loss, success, and hardship.

Enzo believes that dogs can learn important life lessons by observing humans. The movie explores themes of loyalty, patience, and hope. It reminds us that dogs are not just pets—they are companions who walk beside us through all stages of life.

❤️ Why These Movies Are Special

Both movies show that dogs understand humans in ways we often forget. They offer comfort, loyalty, and unconditional love. Even though the stories are different, they share a common message: the bond between humans and dogs can change lives.

If you enjoy emotional stories and love animals, I highly recommend watching both films. Be prepared to laugh, think, and maybe even cry a little.
