THE SILENT SECRET: Winning "Best Thriller Screenplay" in Los Angeles!

Howard

Hello everyone, and welcome back to the cafe!

I’m still pinching myself as I write this. As many of you know, I’ve been pouring my heart into a project called "The Silent Secret." It’s a story I’ve lived with for a long time, and a few months ago, I decided it was time to let it fly. I submitted it through FilmFreeway to the Los Angeles Movie and Music Video Awards, and then... I did what all writers do. I waited.

I didn't fly out to LA; I just kept working, kept dreaming, and kept an eye on my inbox.

The Big News

This past November, the "slow burn" of waiting turned into an incredible "reveal." I am officially the winner of Best Thriller Screenplay!

Winning in Los Angeles—the absolute epicenter of the film world—is such a massive honor. To have the judges recognize the tension and the stakes of "The Silent Secret" means the world to me. It’s proof that a good story can travel across the globe and hit home, even if you’re submitting it from your own living room.

What’s Next?

This win has given me a huge boost of momentum. I’m currently back at the keyboard, working on some new ideas (including a very special story about a man living with a guiding ghost—but more on that soon!).

Thank you to everyone who has supported me along the way. This poster is going up on my wall as a reminder to always hit "submit." You never know when your story is going to be the one that stands out.
