Daily English Upgrade #002: Micro-Pattern — “The main reason is…”

Mohamed Helmy

This pattern helps you sound clear and organized:

Pattern:
The main reason is + (noun / clause).

Examples:

  • The main reason is time.
  • The main reason is we don’t have enough data yet.
  • The main reason is it will save costs long-term.

Small upgrade:
Use “The main reason is that…” when you use a full clause.

Mini practice (20 seconds):
Answer with one sentence:

  1. “Why are you learning English?”
  2. “Why is this option better?”

It’s much easier to make this natural when you practice it in real conversation. If you’d like, we can work on it together in a 25-minute lesson (supportive corrections, no pressure).
