My student won 1st Prize in a Recitation Contest!

Dear Cafetalk Community,

I'm so proud to announce that my dear student, Sumire won the Gold Prize at the Hayashima Recitation Contest! The Gold Trophy is equivalent to 1st Prize! I'm so happy for my student, and Sumire's mother as well as Sumire herself are elated!

Sumire is a naturally talented, poised, and confident young lady to begin with. She took my directions very well including adjustments in pronunciation, intonation, emotional expression, and gestures. As you probably know, all of the above elements have to blend together seamlessly to perform a perfect speech. After guiding her for several months, she stood up and delivered an exceptional speech in the end.

In the photo, you can see lovely Sumire holding her 1st Prize Certificate! I'm so proud of her as if she was my own child. I have to give Sumire all the credit for following my directions, and delivering the speech exactly as we planned. It was a real pleasure to work with this precious and capable young lady!
