Tips for keeping a new routine

Weekly Topic: Do you have any tips or a mindset that would keep you stick to your new routine?

Tim Ar.

Hi everyone!

Happy New Year! I'm really looking forward to seeing you in class. I'm a qualifed and experienced native teacher English as a Second Language (ESL).

For those trying a new routine in 2026, here are some tips for keeping on track!

  • Start Small: Implement one tiny change at a time (e.g., 10 minutes of reading) to avoid overwhelm.
  • Habit Stacking: Link new actions to established habits (e.g., meditate after your morning coffee).
  • Create Cues: Use visual reminders like a journal by your bed or set phone alarms to trigger your new actions.
  • Make it Easy: Design your environment to support the routine, like laying out workout clothes the night before.
  • Plan Ahead: Schedule your week in advance to reduce decision fatigue and know what's coming.
Thanks and seee you online!

Regards,

Tim.
