Have little 'mantras' that you say to yourself. Remember your 'whys?' for studying, in other words your hopes and dreams.
"If I finish this assignment today, I will take a walk in the park this evening. If I pass this test, I will get to study at the university of my dreams".
As a tutor, I am continually taking professional development courses. This does not just make me better at the technical parts of teaching English, it means that I am better able to empathise with my students. Even when you are very interested in your studies, if you have had a busy day at work or college, sometimes you need to persuade yourself to do the trickier parts of test prep.
Remember the reasons why you want to get a good score in the test. Have you always dreamed of getting accepted for a certain course, or studying abroad? The dream will keep you going. In the meantime, have a little treat, like a bubble bath, a lovely walk, or a delicious meal.
