A YEAR OF GROWTH, YOURS AND MINE. THE WARMEST LESSONS CAME FROM MY STUDENTS

Weekly Topic: What my students taught me this year

Teacher Selina

This year, my students reminded me why I love tutoring so deeply. Every lesson, whether with a shy beginner or a confident adult, showed me that learning is an act of courage, hope, and heart.

They taught me that small steps matter. That mistakes are worth celebrating. That every voice deserves space, time, and gentle encouragement. Most of all, they taught me that every student is beautifully unique.
Different goals, different stories, yet each one brings something meaningful into my classroom. Teaching ESL is not just my job. It is the warm, human connection behind every "hello", every breakthrough, every shared laugh. My students are the reason it feels like a joy, not a task. It is hard to believe that I am on Cafetalk for only 1 month but I am already enjoying this incredible journey. To my students, thank you for making this experience unforgettable. I learned just as much from you as you learned from me. I look forward to more inspiring and rewarding lessons with you all and more wonderful and amazing students.
