Daily English writing! Let's be penfriends...

Liz English

CafeTALK...the clue is in the name, it's all about talking, right?

Well yes, I agree but I think it would be a shame not to consider some of the other brilliant ways to improve your English skills.

When learning a new language it can sometimes be hard to motivate ourselves to keep engaged with the language on a daily basis, but I believe it's crucial. 10 minutes every day is more effective than 1 hour once a week! It's all about making your brain think in English. But you may not have the time or opportunity to speak the language every day, and maybe just reading and listening isn't enough?

That's where my new 'lesson' comes in. It's a way to ensure that you get the chance to think in English every day, for a whole week, by writing to me....and receiving a reply!

When I was young...before the days of computers, we used to have 'penpals' or 'penfriends' in other countries.  We would send an airmail letter abroad, and receive a reply maybe a month later! Well on Cafetalk it will be a little quicker than that! I will respond to your daily 'diary' entry within 24 hours, and we will exchange messages every day. Check out the lesson for full details and I look forward to writing to you soon.
