A Little Peek Behind the Scenes of My Lessons

今週のテーマ: レッスンの裏側ちょっとだけ公開

Teacher Marinka

Ever wondered what happens behind the scenes when your tutor is preparing lessons? As an online TEFL-certified teacher, I spend quite a bit of time making sure each session is more than “just another class.” Here’s a little glimpse into how I prepare!

Planning with Creativity

Each lesson begins with a theme—sometimes seasonal, sometimes skill-based, and sometimes directly linked to a student’s personal interests. I design interactive slides, activities, and prompts that keep learning fun and engaging, especially for younger learners or those who need extra support.

Tailoring for Every Student

No two students are the same! I adapt worksheets, reading passages, and even games to match your learning style. For example, a student with strong visual memory might get picture-based flashcards, while another who enjoys stories might receive roleplay scenarios.

Multi-Sensory Learning

Behind the scenes, I also record audio instructions or design listening activities so learners can practice outside of class. My aim is to create a balance between speaking, listening, reading, and writing in every lesson.

Bringing Culture into the Classroom

Whenever possible, I weave in cultural notes, idioms, and real-world examples—whether it’s English for travel, school support, or professional communication. I believe language learning is more meaningful when it connects to real life.

Why I Do It

Preparing lessons this way takes time, but it’s worth it to see students gain confidence step by step. Every smile, every “aha!” moment, and every little improvement motivates me to keep creating new resources.

So, the next time you join a class with me, remember—there’s a lot of love, thought, and planning that happens behind the scenes!
