The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People is a self-help book that outlines seven skills to develop in order to increase efficiency and have more rewarding interpersonal relationships.
Here are the seven habits of highly effective people:
Being proactive means taking responsibility for your life, the initiative to respond positively, and
Each day of your life should contribute to the vision you have for your life as a whole. To be
effective you need to act based on principles and constantly review your mission statements:
"Are you - right now - who you want to be?"
"What do I have to say about myself?"
"How do you want to be remembered?"
We must have the discipline to prioritize our day-to-day actions based on what is most
important, not what is most urgent. This means cultivating the ability to say no to things that
don’t match your guiding principles.

4. Think Win-Win
Value and respect people by understanding a "win" for all is ultimately a better long-term
resolution than if only one person in the situation had gotten their way. To embody this
mindset, life must be seen as a cooperative, not a competition.
5. Seek First to Understand, Then to Be Understood
Use empathetic listening to genuinely understand a person. First, try to understand the
situation before you make yourself heard. The next step is to make yourself understood. You
can communicate your ideas in accordance with your listener’s paradigms and concerns.
Synergy is effectiveness as an interdependent reality. This involves combining the strengths of
people through positive teamwork, team building, and the creation of unity with other human
beings.
This is all about enhancing yourself through plenty of exercise, rest, meditation, etc, which will
keep your body, mind, relationships and spirituality in balance.
