Hello and welcome! I'm from South Africa but I’ve been living in Japan for more than four years. I’ve been teaching English for 9 years and worked as an English teacher in a Japanese junior high school.

I have specialised in teaching English as a foreign language and I have a teaching certificate (TEFL). My background is in International Relations and I am currently doing research in Japan and also teaching English. I have also been studying Japanese and studied French at university too, so I understand the language learning process.
I love working with all kinds of students from beginner, intermediate to advanced. I teach both adults and children. Parent's are welcome to join their children in the lesson. My students describe me as friendly, calm and attentive and you will definitely feel comfortable during my lessons.
My lessons:
During my lessons, you will receive support and guidance. I create my own material and also have a range of useful resources to help you. After my lessons, you will receive extra support and material/material related to the lesson. If you have any other requests, feel free to message me.

[Naoshima Island in Kagawa, Japan (2025) featuring Yayoi Kusama's famous pumpkin]
I love travelling and since moving to Japan, I have visited about 24 prefectures, so students are often amazed that I know a lot about their hometown. Let's talk about anything during our free talk lessons, your personalised requests are welcome.
I would love to help you in achieving your goals. Please feel free to take a look at my schedule and book your next lesson.
I look forward to meeting you!
