Hello! I'm Marta and I come from the small town of Lugano in Italian-speaking Switzerland. Right after high school graduation, I moved to French-speaking Switzerland to study Italian literature, and after my Bachelor's degree, I earned my Master's degree in philosophy at the University of Milan. I have now been living in Italy for ten years.
Throughout my life, I have always taught: in high school, I helped elementary school children with their homework; at university, I taught Italian to refugees and helped middle school students with their studies.
After university, I taught in a high school and a middle school working with students with SLD (Specific Learning Disorders), ADHD, and learning difficulties.
Teaching is my favorite thing: it gives me the opportunity to share my passion with new people every day, from whom I can also learn myself. Learning is an adventure best experienced together, and it can be done effectively with great results even in a short time!
My approach is calm and relaxed, and I adapt to the needs of the student in front of me: we can learn quickly, slowly, starting from the basics, or strengthening vocabulary and grammar. I am ready for anything!
Years of volunteering: tutoring for elementary school children, teaching French as a foreign language, tutoring for middle school students, private French lessons.
Additionally, I have 3 years of experience in special education support, 2 years in a scientific high school in Milan, and 1 year in a middle school.
I have worked with all types of students: adults, children, peers, with and without learning difficulties. My main strength is patience. I have great experience in understanding the needs of each student, whether at a slow or fast pace, adapting to whatever is requested. Plus, I am truly eager to teach!
