Hello! I’m Liz Mogollón, a visual artist, illustrator, and art educator from Colombia.

I have more than 10 years of experience teaching drawing and visual arts, and I currently run my own art academy in Colombia. Throughout my teaching career, I have worked with children, teenagers, and adults, helping students with different levels and artistic interests develop their drawing skills and creativity.

As a visual artist, my work includes manga, illustration, character design, comics, caricature, traditional drawing, and painting. I have also had the opportunity to exhibit and participate in artistic events internationally, including in the United States and Japan. I lived in Japan for approximately one year, where I studied Japanese and immersed myself in Japanese culture, which has also been an important part of my artistic journey.

★ What can you learn with me?

I offer personalized lessons in manga, character drawing, illustration, comic drawing, caricature, and drawing fundamentals. Whether you are a complete beginner or already have experience, we can adapt the lesson to your level, interests, and goals.

★ My lessons are for you if...

• You love drawing and want to improve your skills.
• You want to learn how to draw manga characters.
• You want to improve your proportions, faces, expressions, or character design.
• You want personalized corrections and guidance on your own artwork.
• You want to develop your creativity and your own artistic style.
• You sometimes feel frustrated because your drawings don’t look the way you imagine them.

You don’t have to be “good at drawing” to take my lessons. For me, the most important requirement is that you enjoy art and have the desire to learn. Your current level doesn’t matter — we can start from wherever you are.

★ My teaching style

I believe that learning to draw is a process, and that every student has their own rhythm. My goal is not only to teach you techniques, but also to help you understand what you are doing, enjoy the creative process, and feel motivated to continue drawing after the lesson.

I give personalized explanations, demonstrations, corrections, and visual guidance according to each student’s needs. When a student has difficulty with something, I don’t see that difficulty as a failure. I see it as a map that shows us where we can improve.

In fact, I really enjoy working with the areas that are more challenging for a student. Those points help us understand what needs more attention, and they give us a clear starting point for improvement.

One of the most rewarding parts of teaching for me is seeing a student understand something that was difficult before, become more confident, and leave the lesson feeling motivated to keep drawing.

Over the years, I have had students who studied with me many years ago and later returned to continue learning. It means a lot to me to know that something they learned with me stayed with them and became part of their artistic journey.

★ You don’t have to draw perfectly — you just have to enjoy drawing.

If you are passionate about art, curious about manga and illustration, or simply want to discover what you are capable of creating, I would be very happy to work with you.

I am also a native Spanish speaker and offer Spanish conversation lessons for students who would like to practice the language while learning more about Colombian and Latin American culture.

I hope to meet you soon and share a creative, enjoyable, and encouraging learning experience with you!

Liz
