Hello!
My name is Roberto, a professional musician and educator from Mexico.
I discovered my passion for classical guitar at a young age, and after attending an inspiring performance in my hometown, I decided to pursue it professionally.
Beyond music, I'm passionate about languages—I speak Spanish and English fluently. I enjoy reading, hiking, and traveling to experience diverse cultures and meet new people.
I love sharing the beauty of classical guitar with students, exploring its rich repertoire, diverse sounds, and expressive possibilities.
My Teaching Background
After earning my bachelor's in music performance, I began teaching in Mexico and later obtained my teaching license from the State of Massachusetts. As a certified music teacher, I've worked internationally. Kuwait was the first country where I taught abroad, and I loved it! I've also taught in various countries (more informally) and found online teaching to be particularly rewarding—I love connecting with students from around the world!
My Teaching Style
By combining well-structured lessons with a gentle approach, everyone can learn an instrument or language and develop their skills over time. Does it take discipline and practice? Of course! But I'll help you create a love for music and a passion for long-term learning.
My priority is my students. I focus on inquiry and self-reflection in every class to help them succeed, collaborate, and use technology proficiently. Differentiation is key—whether you're just starting or already advanced, I'll tailor lessons to your level and present authentic challenges to keep you growing.
In all my lessons, you will find:
