Hello there. My name is Amber. I'm from Cape Town, South Africa.

I love working with people who are eager to learn, grow and is passionate about learning languages. I also enjoy walks on the beach, cooking and painting from time to time. I enjoy teaching English online to learn about different cultures, traditions, values and countries in general.

I'm a TEFL-qualified teacher with a 168-hour TEFL certificate obtained from The TEFL Academy. I possess an advanced diploma in Journalism from the Cape Peninsula University of Technology. I recently completed a post-graduate certificate in intermediate phase education.

Why should you learn English with me?

Lessons are tailored for your specific needs and wants. Lessons will be aimed at your specific level, incorporating skills that are necessary, such as listening, speaking, reading and writing. I also provide constructive feedback and recommend out-of-class activities to help you on your English journey.

I have subject specialisation in: Conversational English, Business English, TEFL and Writing, British English, English for travelling, Interview Preparation, and much more.


Since graduating from university, I have worked in the media and education space. My most recent role was a teacher at a local primary school in Cape Town, teaching grades 4 and 5. I have worked with many learners and have developed so much in teaching languages and natural science.

You don’t need to be perfect to start; you just need consistency, and I’m here to guide and support you throughout the journey.

Just remember: Don't be afraid to make mistakes, because that is how one learns and grows.
