SELF INTRODUCTION

 

Hello, students! My name is Karel. 

 

I’m originally from the Philippines but currently live in Japan, where I am a mom of two. Before moving here, I only knew a few Japanese words. I’ve made a conscious effort to learn the language and culture, and now I can understand everyday conversations in Japanese. While I’m still on my learning journey, I feel quite familiar with Japanese culture. 

 

My language learning experience has inspired me to restart teaching, and I hope to meet you in my class so we can learn English together!


HOBBIES AND INTERESTS

Have you visited this place? This photo was taken in Hakodate, Hokkaido, Japan. After exploring this peaceful destination, it has become one of my favorite spots in the country.

 
   Travel and Photography

I have traveled to Vietnam, Korea, and several prefectures in Japan.

I enjoy capturing interesting moments through photography and meeting people from different countries. Learning about their cultures and beliefs enriches my understanding of the world.

 

TEACHING BACKGROUND

 

I have over 5 years of experience teaching English both online and in-person, working with Japanese, Korean, and Chinese students of all ages and levels. Whether you are a beginner or an advanced learner, I am here to guide you every step of the way!

 

I hold a TESOL certificate, which has deepened my understanding of the English teaching industry.

 

I particularly enjoy working with preschoolers and have taught many young English learners throughout my career. I always look forward to the opportunity to inspire and educate the next generation.

 

TEACHING STYLE

I always strive to maintain a relaxed atmosphere in my classes. I adjust my speaking speed according to my students’ levels and utilize the chatbox when necessary to ensure a clear understanding of the lesson. My priority is to communicate clearly and in an easily understandable manner, helping students feel comfortable as they improve their skills and enjoy their learning journey.

- **Free Conversation Class: ** 25 min  

- **English for Preschoolers and Children: ** 20 min  

- **Tagalog Lesson: ** 25 min  

- **Business English: ** 50 min  

 

### Who Can Join

All ages and proficiency levels are welcome—beginner, intermediate, and advanced students.

Our lessons will cover:  

- Vocabulary  

- Speaking / Intonation  

- Pronunciation  

- Grammar  

 

### Customization

 You can choose the lesson that interests you, or I can design a lesson tailored to your needs and skill level. Together, we will work to enhance your English speaking, listening, and reading skills.
