Hello! I’m LIAO from Taiwan, currently living in Japan.

I’m a certified Mandarin Chinese teacher with TCSOL and TQUK teaching qualifications. Since 2024, I’ve been teaching Taiwanese Mandarin online. My lessons are beginner-friendly and I use English and Japanese to support learners who are just starting out, so you can feel comfortable even if it's your first time learning Chinese.

Mandarin is my native language, and I can provide support in both English and Japanese. I hold a Master’s degree in Music from National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University in Taiwan. I also have over 12 years of experience teaching music (piano and violin), and I enjoy incorporating music, Taiwanese culture, and travel-related topics into my language lessons to make them more fun and engaging.

Lesson Style

  • Friendly, gentle, and patient teaching approach

  • Use of Traditional Chinese materials with a balanced focus on listening, speaking, reading, and writing
